It was after having my car crash; I was feeling upset and angry at the lack of strength I had left. This then made me have low self esteem and confidence issues.
My boyfriend Jonathan really helped me as he is a body builder. I started training with him and his friends, as well as seeing specialists and others to gain advice.
I started training at least 5 times a week. I would mainly train with weights and do shoulders, back, biceps, legs etc and then do a run every so often. Also I love training my abs so I would always make sure I do these after each training session.
But recently my partner and I have brought a house together and this has been taking up a lot of our time, but I still try to go to the gym as much as we can!
When I started training with my boyfriend, he advised me to start having a protein shake after my work out so it would help repair my muscles.
At first I was a bit wary as I thought it would make me put on weight, but I then brought some Sculptress shakes and started taking it after my training sessions.
It has got to be Sculptress shakes, these have really helped me while training. I take it after every training session and sometime in the mornings to give me energy. From taking this the day after training my muscles feel fine, usually I would be aching!! Also I started to really see myself looking more toned... yippee!!
Training is more about getting fit and looking good on the outside and it is also about gaining inner strength, a winning attitude and confidence to improve your life, for you rather than for others.
This is definitely the strength I have got back in my injured areas and also my 'chocolate fingers', oblique's I love them!
With friends making it a social catch up and it helps with the competitive edge.
I will usually buy myself a new fabulous dress, even though my partner moans about me having too many! But lets be honest, no women can have too many!! Also I will treat myself to a good Chinese every so often, as I love it and I think I have worked hard for it so...
To show other less confident people what hard work and dedication can achieve, as well as the closer to home benefits that I see in myself.
