Women who want to reduce their stress and boost their wellbeing as a result have been told by Ann McCracken, chair of the International Stress Management Association, to take a problem-solving approach to the issue.
She explained a lot of people believe stress comes from the actions of other people and situations they experience, but she recommended individuals try accepting that they can influence most situations through their own personal approach, which can lead to their control being increased.
Ms McCracken said women should attempt "learning how to develop a problem solving approach to life, seeing situations as an opportunity to do things differently and taking a metaphoric step back to take some time to assess options" to boost wellbeing.
She added comfort foods can often lead to bloating, excess weight and lethargy, as well as increased stress.
Davina Wynne-Jones, found of herbsforhealing.net, recently said certain exotic herbs may be able to boost the immune system by cleansing the blood stream and helping digestion.
