
A college tutor has revealed he is attempting to shed over three stone as part of a weight loss campaign, with money being raised for charity at the same time.
Carshalton College's public services tutor Chris Palmer began the challenge at 17 stone 5 pounds and his target weight is 14 stone.
He will be attempting to raise money for Honour-our-Troops by starting each day with a swim, while he is going to ensure he eats his five portions of fruit and vegetables a day and avoid alcohol and fatty foods.
Mr Palmer is the chairman of the charity and spent 29 years working in a variety of roles in the Army before moving into teaching.
