Body of 2009 - Real Women, Real Stories

They did it with Maxitone – you can too

You probably have a body or fitness goal in mind already. Weight loss. Shaping and toning. Or achieving a special goal like running 10k or climbing Ben Nevis for charity. But one of the biggest challenges is having the confidence and belief that you can actually do it. However, when you take a look at the everyday people from all walks of life who have done it with Maxitone, we hope you'll instantly feel like you can too. They really did it - now it's your turn.

Come back soon to enter our body of 2010 competition

Laura Muirhead

Your top tip?
Never think you can't get the body you want. You can. If you have a bad day, it's ok, wake up the next day and get back on track.

Your favourite treat?
To go shopping (of course!!)

Rebecca Rimmer

Rebecca RimmerRebecca Rimmer, 21, Marketing Manager

If you could give one tip?
Learn to love and look after your body - you only get one.

Your favourite way to exercise?
Running along Blackpool beach in the Summer with the dog - the sea breeze in my hair, the sand at my feet and the sun in my face.

Nicky Edwards

Nicky EdwardsNicky Edwards, 26, Childcare Support Coordinator

Your best tip?
Believe in yourself and listen to the advice of those around you. I learnt so much from my trainer and those in the gym.

What's the single best thing about your achievements?
Being told that I was an inspiration to others to train and get fit has given me so much confidence.

Sophie Allsebrook

Sophie AllsebrookSophie Allsebrook, 21, Sales Assistant

Your best tip?
Training is more about getting fit and looking good on the outside and it's also about inner strength, a winning attitude and confidence to improve your life, for you rather than others.

What made you enter our competition?
To show other, less confident people what hard work and dedication can achieve.

Sophie Horn

Sophie HornSophie Horn, 23, Professional Golfer

Your best tip?
Stick at it, don't give up! It's the most satisfying feeling transorming and sculpting your body. But always remember to enjoy yourself!

How do you treat yourself?
A dessert when I'm out for a meal on the odd occasion - banoffee pie and chocolate fondant are my favourite - you have to reward yourself sometimes.

Tara Stevens

Tara StevensTara Stevens, 30, Systems Analyst

What made you enter the competition?
I saw the poster with last year's winner on it and thought "well if she can do it, so can I!"

Your favourite way to exercise?
Anything to get me out of breath, sweaty, go red and probably look thoroughly unattractive but I don't care as I'm doing this for me - it's the results I achieve that are important, not how I look in the process of achieving them.

Lucie Anslow

Lucie AnslowLucie Anslow, 31, Business Development Manager

What made you decide to change?
Moving up to the next dress size wasn't an option and I knew I was going to make the change - this was when I decided to do something!

If you could give one tip?
Achievement of your perfect body is not about eating less, it's about giving your body what it needs - learn about nutrition and supplements.

Agnes Chlebinska

Agnes ChlebinskaAgnes Chlebinska, 40, Doctor

How do you treat yourself?
I usually go for a big bowl of raspberries - no space for more shoes (just joking!)

What made you enter the competition?
I hope that by taking part I can influence a bigger group of people, men and women, showing them it's never too late for anything and that they can fulfil their dreams as I did - it doesn't matter what you are.
